Design + Build Home Renovation in Midcoast Maine

Fresh Salt is a Collaborative Design + Build studio built out of a love of the sea and our coast.

We bring craftsmanship and thoughtful holistic design under one roof as a husband/wife team to deliver a seamless home renovation process. We are inspired by historic homes, traditional crafts and the stories our clients bring to their unique spaces. Our process is tailored to the needs of your project, whether a full design for your home, a single room remodel, or custom millwork pieces.

Inspired by the Natural World and your Story of Home

We draw inspiration from the landscapes, textures and light patterns of the natural world.

In our design practice, we work with you as a collaborator to both define your functional needs for the program of your space as well as your unique style and preferences to bring your home to life aesthetically. Our goal is to help tell your story of home through a personal and bespoke design process, guiding you along every step of the way so you can stay informed and involved, but not overwhelmed.

Our goal is to create a layered, thoughtful and meaningful home for you, where you can gain a sense of belonging in our increasingly busy and changing world. We prioritize a lived-in, welcoming feeling of space over curated perfection. We like to mix styles and incorporate vintage, antiques and handmade items into our work.
